Snow Day 1.25.15

Have you ever ridden in a horse-drawn carriage? Well I’ve got one better- a horse drawn sled. Today was my soum’s “snow celebration”, which included snow soccer and drinking piping hot, delicious sea buck thorn tea. My favorite activity by far was riding in a sled with my social worker’s adorable nine year old daughter as a horse pulled us down a bumpy incline. It was a delightful ride, full of shrieks and giggles. Winter here may be long and harsh, but Mongolians have a way of making it bearable- if not downright enjoyable.
